Political Change

The more significant wars were sudden and largely unexpected.

Of these, three of the major nuclear conflicts were computer-automated blitzes spiked with classic human jealousy, vengeance, fear and lust for bragging rights.

In the third of them the delicate balance of power between the Zerozone super-states dissolved after years of Machiavellian interference from Zerozone's only remaining proud superpower.

But what man, men or alien may hold fate at whim or command the cycles of the stars?

On their day of grief they were deposed.
