Several pieces of the deep space radio transmission have already been reassembled and decoded.
We know the name of the author of some of them, his place in his alien society and a bit about the history and the climate of his strange world.
His name is Peter Pullthru. The planet's name is Zerozone (pronounced Ze'roz'on'e).

Professor Grenfell estimates that there are potentially many more alien broadcast receiving points around our Earth.
In a call to all believers, she says, ¨If you have received valuable transmissions from outer space, in particular from Planet Zerozone, then we might get together and cooperate to get this information out there.¨
¨The whole world needs to know that we are not alone. Others have been there, done that. We do not need to repeat the same mistakes, though we probably will,¨ she said.
Also, says Professor Grenfell, ¨A
Zerozonan fruit soufflé must be truly awesome. But we have only one
half of the recipe.¨
One of the languages decoded from the broadcasts is a form of English that in a stunning example of parallel evolution is common on planet Zerozone.
Professor Grenfell is not surprised by these and other similarities to our own planet Earth.
"There are only seven visible colours in a rainbow here and on Zerozone. The inhabitants of Zerozone have tongues like our own because they share a similar social history, because their environment is similar."
She adds that they have developed a phonetic alphabet that, ¨though different from our own, it still reduces the colour yellow in writing to 'hyella'.¨
¨The fact that some of these aliens speak a kind of English does not amaze me or any of the many other university academics I have discussed this with,¨ she says.
